Frequently Asked Questions Q. How do these discounts work on cruises, and how can Coastal members enjoy luxury ocean cruises for only taxes & processing fees? A. As we all know, cruise ships' strict schedule require departure and must sail regardless of whether they are at full capacity or not. the cruise lines know that their passengers paying taxes & processing fees only for their cabins will also spend money onboard ship, in the bars, casinos, gift shops, and during shore excursions. In typical cases, the amount of money spent by each passenger equals or exceeds the original cost of the cruise itself. Therefore, in order to benefit from the additional revenues, the Cruise Lines know that it is better for them to fill empty luxury cabins for pennies on the dollar, rather than sail with empty luxury cabins. Additionally, Cruise Lines have done research studies and found that the majority of first time cruisers tend to continue to sail with the same Cruise Line on which they enjoyed their first voyage. Q. When a Coastal member books a stay or a cruise, will he/she receive a confirmation number and details on their travel, just as they would with a regular travel agency? A. Absolutely! In fact, every time Coastal members book any stay or cruise, they will always be working with a licensed & bonded travel agent. This is actually better, because it is more reliable to work directly with an originating vendor, rather than to go through a typical travel agency. Coastal’s discount methods effectively eliminate the "middle man" in most of the stays and cruises to enhance your honeymoon holidays for the best honeymoon deals. Coastal’s vendors are all qualified travel agents who are fully capable of answering any questions /concerns you may have. Q. Since this is a "Lifetime Membership", are there any other costs or renewal fees each new year? A. This is a great question, because of the benefits within Coastal Membership discount travel renewal option. In order to keep all of the contact numbers, and vendor information current, the shipping and fulfillment center will send out an optional renewal notice one year from the date of your purchase. You may choose to renew all 23 membership cards & directories, for only $89.95, which is less than $4.50 for each requestednew card. This enables Coastal’s members to have current info as well as phone numbers for all of their travel needs, because there are almost always several additions and changes each year. However, if you choose not to renew, or forget to renew for several months, you may still send in your renewal application at anytime. Your renewal for the following year starts when the shipping center receives your new application. With the complimentary stays, there is no expiration date, until you activated a new travel voucher. When the glossy brochure arrives, you will then have one year to 18 months to select a date and enjoy your stay at your choice of romantic hotels and resorts and cruises. Q. Can a Coastal member give away any of their 30 bonus vacations? A. Q. Will the vendor / travel agent be able to assist me with other vacation travel and leisure needs/concerns/questions having to do with my trip?
A. As in most discount travel situations , selecting dates 30 days or more in advance will always help to ensure availability. During Holiday seasons it is always best to book up to 6 months in advance whenever possible. The exception to this rule is on our condo stays, where under "30 day options" - known as "burn weeks" offers with the deepest discounts and last minute price reductions are made available.
Coastal Vacations has several options for condos with several different vendors. One of them has a web site that is just for Coastal members and usually offers 3 to 5 pages of locations all around the USA. If you have the flexibility of traveling at the spur of the moment, occasionally outstanding deals are available, especially with your cruise card. This is due to the Cruise Lines having cancellations at the last minute.
Q. Can members get more than one set of cards & directories?
A. Yes - to get an extra set of cards & vacation travel directories is only an additional $49.95. An extra set comes in very handy in situations where there are several individuals who have access to the Coastal Membership, such as in large families, and groups or organizations looking for low fares and cheap travel ideas for best travel destinations.
Q. Can members let friends & relatives (looking for cheapest travel dealsand lowest travel fares) use our cards & directories?
A. Yes. Either you can assist them with booking their discount vacation travel accommodations, or they can chose to use your cards & directories and book their own hotel or condo stays and enjoy leisure travel at top honeymoon destinations and beautiful resorts and cruises.
Q. What is the difference between the Complimentary Carnival/Royal Caribbean Cruise and the "Cruise & Stay" for $6.95?
A. With the complimentary Carnival or Royal Caribbean Cruise, you will sleep onboard the ship for the duration of the 4 day 3 night or 5 day 4 night ocean going cruise, consisered romantic travel.
With the "Cruise & Stays", you will spend the day sailing from Florida to the Bahamas and will sleep at a resort for the duration of your stay, after which you spend another 6 hours sailing back to Florida.
Q. Are there any "hidden costs" when a Coastal member books a complimentary taxes only stay?
A. No. Be sure to read the terms & conditions provided by the vendor for each vacation. You are only responsible for taxes, processing fees & gratuities for the complimentary bonus stays.
Q. How can I find a vendor to contact in order to get a list of condos currently available?
A. We have several condo options in the Coastal Membership. The first option is to go to the directories looking for condo listings in an area you desire. Another method is to use the website listed on your your Hotel Access Card for monthly listings of condos and burn week specials. You may call the toll free numbers listed on the back of your condo card for additional options.
Q. Who can I contact within the Coastal Membership for info on the best airfare?
A. In some cases, the Coastal member will be given a website to checkon for airfares when they call in to these numbers. Also, almost all of the vendors in the Coastal Package will offer airfares. The key is to book as early as possible and also combine airfares with a stay from the same vendor. .
Q. How will I know what HoteResort or Hotel I will be staying at, when I book my complimentary stay?
A. After you receive the glossy activated vacation brochure, you will see a listed toll free number for customer service. You may call that number to inquire about details questions/concerns regarding your accommodations. Generally, Coastal accommodations will be in 4 to 5 star hotels & resorts such as Ramada, LaQuinta, Howard Johnsons, Comfort Suites, etc.
Q. How can I activate the Coastal Member discount travel cards, It says to mail application in order to activate card...Can I use them now, and where? Locally?
A. In your Coastal vacation and honeymoon travel vacation package you will find your Membership Activation Form. You will need to fill out this form with your information and then send it in (to the shipping center -- address is on Membership Form) including a $10 money order (for shipping & handling. Within 5-10 business days you will receive your whole new set of 23 membership cards with their accompanying Directories
Q. Can Coastal members extend complementary stays (bonus vacations) at their honeymoon destinations?
A. YES. Coastal complimentary vacations are for 3days/2nights or 8days/7nights. A member can extend them for a nominal fee. These companies are motivated (and paid) to fill their rooms and they will offer you romantic honeymoon packages and great deals on adventure travel opportunities to ensure that you stay at your luxury honeymoon desinations longer.
Q. Is Coastal Vacations the best vacation deal for a customer and couple's travel or are there hundreds of competitors?
A. The travel industry is very competitive and there are a number of other companies that do offer discount travel & vacation memberships, like we do... What sets Coastal apart is that we are an Association of Professionals and not just one company. We do not have the expensive overhead that a standard company has and therefore can afford to market this package for $1295. This EXACT same package is sold by other resort/travel companies for $2500-$4000. This vacation package has been on the market for over 20years. Cheap travel never felt so luxurious. Couple's luxury honeymoon destinations.
Q. I saw on the European vacation pkg. that France and Italy were not incl. Do you have pkgs. for these countries?
A. Yes, we do have international stays in France and Italy. They are week long complimentary stays and we are required to pay the taxes only (approx $20./night). These vacations cost members $20 to order.
Q. Is travel by air or rail incl. in Coastal Vacation pkgs? Sometimes half the fun is in getting there as they say... Also, I love adventure travel and a railroad enthusiast, are there Amtrak pkgs also?
A. With our "Travel Card" we will get an additional 10-20% savings on AIRFARES... The Board of Directors of Coastal Vacations are currently looking to implement a "Rail Discount Card" card, they are planning to have it in place by the end of this year...
Q. How many vacation packages does Coastal Vacations offer for individuals as well as couple's travel?
A. Coastal offers three different discount travel vacation packages. "The Level 1 - Basic Package" for $1295. "The Premier Combo - International Vacation Package" (Level 1 & Level 2) for $3995 (save $800) and "The Platinum Package - Universal Vacation Package" (Level 1, 2 and 3) for $11,000 (savings of $1295). Level II and III could be used as all inclusive honeymoon vacation packages.
Q. If I help someone in getting their flight for them (family or friend at no profit to me) will they need to have my card to show at the airport or car rental or such?
A. That depends entirely... For the luxury bonus vacations, chances are, they will not have to present a membership card. However if you are booking a Hotel Room, for someone else other than yourself ,they will need a card at the time of checkout to receive the discount.
Q. How do you compare the prices without ordering a condo vacation first?
A. As a member , our Luxury Condo Stays are typically $19/night per person. On average, we pay about $300 per week (for 2 people) for a Coastal condo stay. The best way to compare is to get the regular price of a condo first and then compare it to the $300 per week that we as Coastal members get to pay. Coastal members are saving about $1000 per week on condo stays around the US, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean & even worldwide.
Q. I was trying to call regarding airline prices and I was not able to call from Canada. What number should I use?

Q. Will I get to go on the Coastal Level II complimentary 4day, 3night Carnival cruise?
A. As a Level 2 Coastal member, you can take an UNLIMITED AMOUNT of 4 day/3night Luxury Carnival Cruises. You will receive ONE already activated cruise in your honeymoon vacation package of choice.
